BEHIND BARS: SAPS arrest hijackers, thieves and fraudsters

Alberton SAPS managed to arrest 162 suspects during operations in the Alberton area, including suspects who committed a house robbery in Brakpan.

ALBERTON – Recently the Alberton SAPS managed to arrest 162 suspects during operations in the Alberton area, including suspects who committed a house robbery in Brakpan area, within minutes of entering the Alberton area after an alarm was made.

The Alberton SAPS also managed to recover a hijacked vehicle within an hour after it was hijacked.

Many suspects were arrested for cases of housebreaking, theft, fraud, drunken driving possession of suspected stolen property and managed to arrest suspects who had warrants out for their arrest.

The Station Commander Colonel Kubone thanked everyone for the hard work. She also mentioned that she is proud of the Support personnel and Shift D headed by Captain Baloyi as they are responsible for most of the successful arrests.

The station commander and the management team want to thank the community and all police members for working together to fight crime.
