SOUTH CREST – An elderly couple, both in their 70s, have been hospitalised after an assault in their home in South Crest yesterday afternoon.
Reports state that the woman has been beaten badly and that her husband, in frail condition, is mostly in bed or in a wheelchair.
The couple was found in their home when their daughter came to visit just after 15:00. She pressed the panic button and Fox Security rushed to the scene to assist.
At this stage it is not clear how many intruders were involved. The domestic worker, who was found locked up in the outside room, mentioned one suspect when questioned.
