A ceremony at Mehlareng Stadium, presented by Executive Mayor Cllr Mondli Gungubele, will increase the members to 1 010 on Thursday

December 4.

The Peace Corps is hosted by the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department and will receive basic training there. The Peace Corps is trained to patrol the streets, educate the public, enforce by-laws and engage in social crime prevention.

The Peace Corps program is part of the City’s undertaking to assist the enforcement of by-laws and prevent crime, empower the youth and reduce the rate of poverty.
