Factory hit twice over weekend

On Saturday morning December 6 Fox Security received a phone call from a factory in Fuchs Street, Alrode at 03:00 of suspects in their premises.

ALBERTON – Reaction officers responded to the premises and on arrival two suspects jumped over the fence to the railway line. The officers gave chase and managed to arrest one suspect at the corner of Dan Jacobs and Old Vereeniging roads. Copper, stolen from the factory, was also recovered.

On Sunday December 7 another call from the same factory came in at 18:00. This time three suspects were inside the scrap metal dealers premises. One suspect was arrested inside the premises, while two of the suspects jumped the fence and disappeared on the railway line.

All the stolen goods were also recovered.

Both suspects were detained at Alberton SAPS.
