New load shedding schedule
After Eskom has declared the risk of load shedding to be low, as a precaution, Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality has amended its schedules.
As of December 12, the Metro will follow the newly published timetables available on their website.
“When Eskom declares stage one or two load shedding, which is controlled by municipalities, the latest schedule that is now available on the website will be the one that the municipality uses in implementing load shedding in Ekurhuleni,” said Metro spokesperson Themba Gadebe.
The schedule can be accessed from the municipality’s website on www.ekurhuleni.gov.za/load-sheddings
The municipality apologises for any inconvenience caused and encourages residents to use electricity sparingly.
