Passengers injured after a taxi overturned

Local authorities were on scene to investigate the cause of the collision.

JOHANNESBURG SOUTH – Ten people were injured on Sunday night December 14 after a taxi overturned on the N1 Golden Highway in Johannesburg South.

When ER24 paramedics arrived on scene, they found a taxi and a light motor vehicle on the side of the road. The occupants of both vehicles waited for paramedics on the side barriers.

On assessment, paramedics found that 10 people had sustained injuries ranging from minor to moderate.

Paramedics treated the occupants of the taxi for their injuries and transported them to nearby hospitals for further treatment. The occupants of the light motor vehicle did not sustain any injuries.
