Hail and thunderstorm warning for Gauteng
Gauteng and Mpumalanga residents were urged to prepare for massive thunderstorms and possible hail over the weekend, the Tshwane emergency services said on Friday.
The Citizen quoted spokesman Johan Pieterse, “The national weather services sent a warning that they expect huge thunderstorms from Friday night onwards, with possible hail and strong winds.”
“This will continue on the weekend as well.”
Pieterse said people should make plans to ensure their children were safe and that they stayed away from low-lying bridges.
