Injured children receive a visit from the mayor

Executive Mayor Gungubele visits critically injured scholars in Natalspruit hospital.

ALBERTON- The Executive Mayor of Ekurhuleni Cllr Mondli Gungubele visited Natalspruit Hospital to wish a speedy recovery to scholars who were injured following a motor accident. The scholars were on their way to school on the Heidelberg Road on Monday morning in school transport.

Tshepo Moloi (18), who sustained a femur fracture, and Ntokozo Mabuya (12), who suffered a mandibular fracture, are among the six pupils who were critically injured when two vehicles collided.

The mayor wished the learners a speedy recovery and encouraged them to focus on getting well in order to return to school.

“Based on the brief I received from the doctors, you will be back at school in no time. You must thank God that you have survived this fatal accident, because it is only through Him that you are alive,” he said.
