Park users urged to stick to the rules

EMPD has received reports from residents living around the Jackson Dam that park users are not complying with the by-laws.

ALBERTON – “Even though there’s a private security company assigned on site for access control and other duties, the EMPD will also deploy officers to assist, enforce the municipal by-laws and for crime prevention as and when it is needed,” EMPD spokesperson Inspector Kobeli Mokheseng stated in a press release.

As part of EMPD’s crime prevention at Jackson Dam, the Acting Director of the Southern Region of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Police Department and the Alberton Precinct Commander visited the park on Saturday February 7.
