Thanks go out to the public that assisted a Randhart family in performing a citizen’s arrest on Friday, February 13 after a house robbery.
The suspect entered the property and assaulted the housekeeper, before fleeing into the street and getting into a waiting minibus taxi.
The taxi was pursued by a silver Jaguar and cut off by a Toyota, before the suspect disembarked and was detained by one of the family members and two members of the public. The SAPS then arrived on the scene and took the suspect into custody.
All the goods stolen from the property were recovered.
The suspect was charged with house robbery and appeared in court on Saturday, February 14.
