Burglar busted with stolen cars

Housebreaking is fast becoming a norm in Eden Park, creating a headache for the police who deals with it on a daily basis.

EDEN PARK – Police are of the opinion that most break-ins are the result of nyaope addicts, who steal to feed their need and then sell goods for cash.

On February 28 a house was burgled in Austin Street. Acting on a tip-off the owner called the police and went to a house in Bentley Street, where the police found the stolen hob still in its box and arrested the suspect. The second item, a mini hi-fi could not be found.

The suspect pointed to his fellow thief in Benz Street and both were arrested. They appeared in Palmridge Court on March 2.

Other reported housebreaking cases: two suspects arrested for burglary in Packard Street, one in Yamaha Street and a young man and female partner arrested for burglary in Studebaker Street. All these arrests were made in February.
