Police recover stolen goods

One tip-off lead to the recovery of goods linked to three different crimes.

ALBERTON – A company reported that a truck that was recently hijacked made a stop in Alberton North, at a warehouse in Radio Street. The truck was hijacked in Bethlehem in the Free State.

Police investigated the tip-off to not only find the stock that was loaded in the hijacked truck, but also goods from a business break-in, goods from a truck that was hijacked in Zonkesizwe, and goods stolen in Kempton Park.

Six foreign nationals were arrested and charged with possession of stolen property and appeared in Palm Ridge Magistrates Court.
