MOFFATVIEW police are urgently warning members of the public about three or four suspects who visit people’s homes, claiming they are from a water company and have come to install shower caps to save water or to change light bulbs for free.
Moffatview Police Spokesperson Constables Bila said: “They have been spotted in several areas including Moffat View. Residents must not let them into their homes as they are robbing people at gunpoint.”
People must ensure their homes are locked at all times, and inform their domestic helpers not to open doors to strangers. They must first contact their employers to confirm if there was any appointment or arrangements made prior to the visit.
