We team up with Verwoerd Park crime fighters

ALBERTON - The RECORD donated over 30 shirts to the group of domestic workers in Verwoerd Park on Sunday, March 29.

This was done to recognise their contributions to the fight against crime in Alberton.

The women assemble regularly and distribute safety tips to residents and the community where they work. They work very closely with Warrant Officer Ngobeni and Sgt Mgedezi.

The Station Commander Colonel Kubone said that she appreciates their effort, and thanked them for their contribution to the fight against crime. She also encourages others to become involved and stand together. She especially invited men to make use of the example these women are setting to the community.
