ALBERTON – The officer stopped his vehicle, approached the suspect and noticed that he had already removed a battery from the electric gate’s motor.
The suspect threw the battery away and started running. His escape was futile as the reaction officer gave chase and arrested him.
The suspect was detained at Alberton SAPS for theft.
