Fox pounces on suspect

A suspect has been arrested by Fox Security after allegedly stealing items from a locked car in Randhart

ALBERTON – A suspect was caught by Fox Security on Monday, June 29, after allegedly breaking into a car at Randhart Shopping Centre.

The security company was made aware of the break-in at midday and immediately dispatched two armed reaction vehicles and two tactical reaction vehicles.

The officers were informed that one suspect had broken into an elderly gentleman’s car and had stolen the man’s leather jacket and medical bag. Once the car’s alarm system was triggered, the suspect fled the scene.

A Fox Security tactical member spotted the suspect in one of the surrounding properties. With the assistance of a CPS Security member, the suspect was caught. He was found wearing the stolen jacket and in possession of the medical bag. The suspect was taken to Alberton SAPS and reportedly held for theft out of a motor vehicle.
