ALBERTON – A girl (10) died after a vehicle reportedly crashed into her and a friend in front of the Kenton Primary School on Monday at about 14:30.
According to the family member, who contacted the RECORD, EMPD and paramedics arrived at the scene and started resuscitating Naledi Masupa who was seriously injured.
The two girls, both Kenton Primary School learners, were transferred to the Netcare Union Hospital. Naledi was later transferred to the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital as her mother, who is a domestic worker, does not have a medical aid plan.
The family member said the hospital declared Naledi brain dead yesterday. She passed away at 02:00 this morning.
