Blue combi robs couple twice

Police were informed that his wife told him that a blue Volkswagen Combi that has robbed them before has come back to rob them again.

FOUR suspects made a brief appearance in the Palmridge Magistrate’s Court for being in the possession of suspected stolen property.

Sergeant Phora Nkuna, a police spokesperson at the Alberton Police Station, said an East Rand Flying Squad police officer was reporting for duty when he was stopped by a member of the public.

The informant told the police that his wife had spotted the blue Volkswagen Combi, that had robbed them twice before.

“On his way home the informant noticed the suspected combi, and followed it on the N3-freeway. That is when he saw the Flying Squad police officer and informed him of the incident.”

The police officer called for backup and the combi was stopped on the N3-freeway next to Grey Avenue.

Police found two plasma TV-sets, an amplifier, a computer box, a tablet and remotes. “The informant identified these items as belonging to him,” said Nkuna.
