Donkey derby fundraiser at Reading Country Club

Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services’ annual Donkey Derby fundraiser is around the corner.

ALBERTON – Stepping Stone Hospice and Care Services invites all the cowboys, cowgirls, bull riders and rodeo clowns to its annual Donkey Derby fundraiser at the Reading Country Club. The fundraiser will start on Friday, October 30, at 18:30.

Tickets cost R150 per person and includes a scrumptious dinner. A cash bar will be available as well as great prizes for the winning horses.

Since opening its doors in 2013, the in-patient unit at Stepping Stone Hospice has grown from three dignity rooms to nine dignity rooms, with plans to extend the unit even further in the future. To date over 500 patients and their families have been cared for including in-patients and those who received hospice care at home.

Stepping Stone Hospice relies upon the generosity of the community, public sector and fundraising events.

So bring along your fellow punters, play your donkeys right and you could win a lot of cash while also ensuring that Stepping Stone’s doors stay open.
