EDEN PARK – Despite numerous warnings through the RECORD about the danger of using the short-cut from the community hall in Daimler Street, near Stoneridge Primary, whether day or night, it is still being used by residents.

On Saturday, October 24, at about 21:00, a 27-year-old woman decided to take this short-cut and, being alone, she was an easy target.

She was approached by two men, one of whom pointed a gun at her, while the other undressed her. They then took turns raping her.

The victim could not see the rapists’ faces, as she was instructed to cover her face with her own T-shirt. Once done with her, they just walked off.

The case is being investigated by the Eden Park SAPS and the community is once again warned to avoid this short-cut.
