ON Monday, February 8, three suspects who were driving a cream-coloured stolen Mini Cooper were arrested by the Provincial Investigating Unit.
According to Captain Tsekiso Mofokeng, spokesperson for Gauteng Police, the suspects had tried to remove a resident’s front gate to gain entry to her property, and police from the Provincial Investigating Unit who were in the immediate vicinity saw what was happening.
The suspects, aged between 26 and 35, were arrested and charged with attempted hijacking.
Investigations are continuing.
