The police are leaving no stone unturned in their fight against those liquor dealers with no licence, and say they will be arrested and their liquor confiscated.

The community is requested to assist the police with information of illegal shebeens.

“We need to fight these illegal dealings as they contribute to social crimes in our area. If we stop illegal dealers, we stop irresponsible drinking as, licensed dealers are not allowed to sell liquor to a person who is already drunk,” said Sergeant Phora Nkuna, communication officer for the Alberton SAPS.
