Skryf sommer nou al die volgende datums in jou dagboek neer en maak seker dat jou bestelling voor 09:00 op die spesifieke Maandag vir jou pannekoeke geplaas is. Bestellings kan ook geplaas word vir jaffels, kerrie-en-rys en vetkoek. Datums om te onthou is 4 en 18 April. Bestellings kan ook afgelewer word. *Fun Seeff 5km Lumo Walk Run: This will take place on Friday, March 25. Join us on the last Friday of every month for the Seeff 5km Lumo Walk Run. Starts at 6pm. It’s fun and it’s free.
Dress neon and bright. Prizes for best dressed. Register at Calco Café and Pizzeria from 5pm. All ages welcome.
*Parkinson’s Support Group Meeting: Their next meeting will be on Saturday, March 12, at Renaissance Retirement Village, corner of Comaro and Bellaire streets, Glenvista, at 2pm. All welcome. *Awareness Day: The Arthritis Foundation will be hosting a lecture for Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Day on Thursday, March 17, at 11am at Wits Medical School, lecture theatre three, 7 York Road, in Parktown. The presenters are Jogie Matlakala, an RA patient, topic “My Story”, and Nonhlanhla Skosana (Sister Frances), rheumatology sister at Charlotte Maxeke Hospital, topic “A nursing sister’s perspective” . *Paws in Motion: Support Paws in Motion at the corner of Du Plessis and Second avenues on Saturdays, between 10:00 and 13:00, when they sell boerewors rolls at R25 each. Funds raised go towards their pet rescue fund, which helps sick and injured strays that find their way into the organisation’s care.

*Panorama flea market: come and take a look at the new stores opening up at the Panorama flea market over the next few weeks. Enjoy the entertainment and relaxing trip out of the house. The market is situated just off Kliprivier Drive, in Mulbarton, and is the busiest flea market in the South, with almost 400 stalls. The flea market is open on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays.
*Choir members urgently wanted: have you considered joining a choir? If you enjoy singing, why not come and join our choir? We practise on Monday nights in Brackendowns and are rehearsing for a new presentation, “Let His Praise Be Heard”. It is really beautiful, so why not come and give it a try.
