Power for Palm Ridge school

Pheasant Folly Primary School received the gift of free power as part of a pilot project for the PowerTurtle solar power system.

PHEASANT Folly Primary School was the lucky recipient of a secure solar energy system from Rexivista (Pty) Ltd.

The PowerTurtle system was launched on March 2, by Rexivista and their partners, AM Solar and Golden Peak in Palm Ridge.

Gannie Noble, Rexivista CEO stated: “Our mandate was to provide a pilot system to run the administration block only; however, we say to you here today that our PowerTurtle will provide enough energy to light up the whole school. This obviously requires good energy management”.

The PowerTurtle container based design focuses on security as well as solar power production. The 25kWh-8.5kWh Peak PV system will reportedly power the school free of charge for many years to come, according to Noble.
