Two dead and several injured in taxi accident

Two people are left dead and at least nine injured in an accident that happened at the Reading interchange at around 07:00 this morning.

TWO people were left dead and at least nine were injured in an accident that happened at the Reading Interchange at around 07:00 this morning.

According to Moses Ntombela, who claims to be the owner of the taxi and father of the driver, his son was driving towards Johannesburg on the N12/R59 when he swerved to avoid another vehicle and in doing so, the tyre burst and the taxi went into a roll.

Upon our arrival, the RECORD witnessed the remains of the taxi, as well as the body of one of the deceased being removed from the scene.

According to sources, one of the injured had to be airlifted and two are in critical condition.
