Driver forced to walk home after hijacking

The police are investigating a case of hijacking.

ON FRIDAY, April 8, at 23:50, a white Toyota was hijacked on the K146 road which runs between Eden Park and Tokoza, going to Palmridge.

According to the police, a vehicle following the Toyota flashed its lights to indicate that there was something wrong with the trailer behind the victim’s car. The driver ignored the the warning but when a passing taxi driver pointed at the trailer, the motorist stopped to investigate. There was nothing wrong with the trailer and when the driver got back in his car, two suspects appeared and pointed guns at him. The suspects took two cellphones from the victim and the car. They then drove away, and the driver had to walk home. Police are investigating a case of hijacking.
