Springbok Barber Shop helps pensioners

Springbok Barber Shop in Alberton, along with company and independent sponsors are doing their bit to help pensioners in need.

SPRINGBOK Barber Shop in Alberton, along with company and independent sponsors are doing their bit to help pensioners in need.

“The idea came to me when I was cutting a disabled man’s hair and another customer asked me if I charge the man the same amount for a haircut as anyone else; I replied yes and he said he wanted to pay for the man. From there, I thought it would be nice to get sponsors who would like to sponsor haircuts for pensioners in need,” says owner of the Barber Shop, Johan Reed.

“I have already received a lot of interest from people who would like to help, and things are already happening, so any pensioners who are a bit down on their luck can come in and get a free haircut,” added Reed.

Springbok Barber Shop is situated at 44 Van Riebeeck Avenue, opposite Die Blou Meul.

For further information or to help, contact Reed on 011 907 1571.
