Netcare Union Hospital celebrates hand hygiene

THE Netcare Union Hospital management and staff participated in the Save Lives: Clean Your Hands global campaign and World Hand Hygiene Day on Thursday, May 5.

“This event allows us the opportunity to express our World Hand Hygiene initiatives and highlight our commitment to hand hygiene,” said Naomi van der Westhuizen, infection prevention practitioner at the hospital.

Tiny Bubbles Nursery School visited the hospital to make the little ones aware of hand hygiene and they had some hand hygiene activities.

Several companies, in particular Germkill, assisted with public awareness regarding hand hygiene and the importance thereof.
