ONE female (29) was arrested on Tuesday, May 10, for housebreaking and theft.

According to Sergeant Phora Nkuna, Alberton SAPS, the suspect allegedly broke into the house of her male companion while he was admitted at the hospital and took furniture, computers and appliances.

“When the male companion was released from hospital, he opened a case and provided the police with helpful information that led to the arrest. Some of the stolen property that was worth approximately R260 000, was recovered by the police at the suspect’s house and some at a pawn shop. Follow-up is still being done to recover more of the stolen property as the investigation still continues.”

“The woman will appear at Palm Ridge Court during the week to answer to the alleged charges”, added Nkuna.
