Cruise talk

"What I love about cruises is the fact that I can snooze while I cruise. If you want to keep busy there’s brilliant entertainment non-stop, no two shows are the same."

The WOMEN of Worth (WOW) group of women enjoyed “a cruise to the Ilha de Mozambique Islands”, courtesy of two of the members’ cruise memories, a DVD and photographs.

Laetitia Pretorius and Hilda Theck both enjoyed the cruise and described from a personal point of view what fun it was.

“What happens on the MSC Sinfonia stays on the Sinfonia,” laughed Laetitia, although she did share some of her memories!

“As soon as the ship has left the harbour the parties begin and the drink flows,”she said.

”What I love about cruises is the fact that I can snooze while I cruise. If you want to keep busy there’s brilliant entertainment non-stop, no two shows are the same.

”For people like me, who enjoy relaxing and doing nothing much, you can do plenty of that. The restaurants offer Mediterranean cuisine as well as vegetarian options and Indian curries. There’s also a buffet open for 20 hours daily, serving everything you can think of.”

Hilda has been on many cruises and enjoys them thoroughly.

“It’s a great way to holiday and once you are aboard everything is there for you to enjoy,” she said.

“On this last cruise, in March this year, Laetitia and I shared a twin room with a balcony, so it was very light and airy; we even had breakfast one morning our on the balcony, looking out to sea.

“My experiences aboard the MSC Sinfonia have always been wonderful and, as well as being absolutely spoilt on board, this time we visited Portuguese Island, a small, uninhabited island, and stopped at Inhaca Island.”

It seems cruising is a great way to holiday for either those who wish to sit, relax and enjoy being at sea, or for the more active, who join in all the activities on board and take in other small islands along the way.

For more information on cruising aboard the MSC Sinfonia, phone Hilda on 082 341 9089 and she’ll be to fill you in.

The next WOW meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 2, and you can also contact Hilda on the number above for details.
