Take note of these numbers

All the numbers mentioned will never change.

COMMUNICATION for the Alberton SAPS is very important in fighting crime. Community members need to know which numbers to call when they need help.

The following numbers may be used nationwide:

* 08600 10111 SAPS Crime Stop

* 10111 Radio Control Call Taker (Flying squad)

* 112 for Vodacom users.

On the above numbers a reference number will be provided immediately.

The following numbers may also assist nationwide.

* 32211 crime line SMS for tip-off and to remain anonymous

* 0800 055 555 Child line for incidents that involve child abuse

At Alberton SAPS area the following numbers may be used for a complaint or reporting of incident.

The reference number might not be available immediately so community members are advised to get a name of the person they talk to for future reference.

* 011 861 6800/21/22 Community Service Centre

* Sector 1- 071 675 6871/74 and Sector Manager at 079 890 8395

* Sector 2 – 071 675 6873 and Sector Manager at 079 890 8396

* Sector 3 – 071 675 6876/77 and Sector Manager at 084 885 5704

To talk to the Shift Commander on duty, the number is 071 675 6875.

The Vispol head may be contacted on 082 461 3495 and 011 861 6856 when there are commendations, complaints about service delivery and concern. The Branch Commander may be contacted on 082 334 6455 and 011 865 7400 for investigation-related matters. The Station Commander on 082 558 2662 011 861 6806/25 may be contacted for management-related issues.

All the above numbers will never change – even if the officers in charge may change the numbers remain designated for that particular post.
