A man sadly died after being shot at a house in the early hours of this morning.
ER24 Joburg South paramedics were dispatched to a call just after 03:00 for an apparent house robbery in Meredale, Johannesburg.
It is believed that the man (66), was trying to defend his family when he was shot. Paramedics found him in a room with injuries to the head.
Sadly there was nothing that could be done for him and he was declared dead.
The rest of the family, which included three young children, were unharmed.
