PAYING it forward became a reality when Alberton High School learners reached out to those in need.
Learners and educators visited the Alberton North families on July 22, to deliver more than 60 blankets and some clothing and beanies that were collected for the families.
One hundred and two beautiful, brand new blankets were delivered with excitement to the JAFTA old age home in Rewlatch. The welfare committee of Alberton High School used this opportunity to get to know the elderly people, give hugs and sing songs.
The efforts of the school’s students, parents and teachers were appreciated. Mark van Rooyen, Nickie Dyzel and a Mr and Mrs Graddon rallied support and gave massive sponsorships towards the Blanket Drive, making this year’s drive the most successful one yet.
