Bomb scare feedback

The mall was safe for a while.

ON Wednesday, March 1, at approximately 11:40, the Mall at Newmarket received a bomb threat.

In accordance with the mall’s emergency plan, the Mall at Newmarket was evacuated.

The local SAPS were informed immediately and declared the mall safe.

Subsequently, this unfortunate incident has been handed over to the police for further investigation.

We thank the public for their assistance and understanding during the emergency evacuation and furthermore would like to assure our shoppers that their safety is a priority for us.

Centre Management would like to invite the public to report any suspicious behaviour to our management office or alternatively to our 24-hour security control room.
