THREE men were caught and arrested on June 22 by CPS Security, EMPD Drug Enforcement team and Alberton SAPS.

CPS Security’s officers did their daily patrol in the Alberton area and noted a suspicious silver Toyota Yaris and called for back up. According to Tyrone van der Merwe, sales manager from CPS Security, they managed to pull the vehicle over in Second Avenue near the KFC, and Indoor Sports Facilties, in Florentia.

After searching the car they found knives, gloves and a pick. On further investigation it was discovered that one of the suspects was positively connected to previous burglaries. He and the vehicle are linked to a case in Benoni.

The suspects are being detained at Alberton Police Station and will appear in court soon.
