Girl (14) raped by father in Palmridge

"He said he must be the first one to break her virginity and proceeded to rape the poor girl.”

ON September 28, at 9pm, a 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her biological father in Palmridge.

The victim’s grandmother opened a case of rape at Eden Park Police Station.

The father handed himself over to the police a week later.

He was locked up and later transferred to Germiston Police Station.

According to police reports, the girl claims her father raped her when she went into his room to fetch a blanket.

Capt Vusi Mhlophe told the RECORD that the girl said her father locked the bedroom door and asked if she was a virgin, to which she replied yes.

“He then said he must be the first one to break her virginity and proceeded to rape the poor girl,” said Mhlophe.

According to the reports, the girl ran to the neighbours and told them what had happened.

The suspect’s sister ran to her mother’s place of work to tell her what her brother had done.

The mother then opened a rape case against her son.

The girl was taken to hospital where the rape was confirmed.

According to Mhlope, the suspect came to Eden Park SAPS, stating that he had heard a case had been opened against him but that he did not know what for.

“We then told him about the rape case opened by his mother for raping his own daughter. Later that day, we transferred him to Germiston, where rape cases are dealt with,” said Mhlophe.
