Opelweg seniors celebrate

Saying goodbye to their primary school years, and looking with excitement to the future.

FRIDAY, December 1 was the most exciting day of the year for the Grade Seven learners of Opelweg Primary School as they jubilantly celebrated their farewell.

The event could easily be compared to a matric farewell. The learners, who are the seniors of the school and ready to start their high school careers, were dressed in flamboyant modern style.

The parents attended in large numbers and were served meals and entertained by popular hip-hop dance group Disturbing the Beat.

The learners all shared how excited they are about going to high school in 2018. For those who are best friends, it was also sad knowing they will be parting ways when they go to different high schools.

Parents and learners made the most of the evening and danced until late.
