Illegal shebeens closed

On October 26 Alberton SAPS members together with Brackendowns SAPS members worked a cluster operation whereby illegal shebeens were closed.

ALBERTON – Alcohol to the value of around R40 000 was confiscated at one shebeen. In total, three shebeens were closed and three owners arrested. The dockets were opened for investigation purpose and the three owners paid admission of guilty fines.

There were also 50 illegal CDs and five knives recovered when the shebeens were searched, they had no owners and that resulted with no arrest made. All the items were booked in at Alberton SAPS.

The members involved in the operation were under the command of Capt Matlou and they are W/O Mabaso, Sgt Thangwana, Sgt Mongalo, Sgt Nkuna, Const Mgedezi and three members from Brackendowns SAPS.
