Incidents in Eden Park over the festive season

In another incident a Grade 11 learner from Eden Park was stabbed to death.

A FEW days before Christmas a newborn baby was dumped in Agmat Dangor Street, Riemvasmaak, Eden Park. Residents saw a dog tearing at a plastic bag and when they investigated, they found a baby in the bag.

This was but one incident over the festive season in Eden Park.

On New Year’s Day at 6am a Grade 11 learner at Eden Park Secondary school was stabbed to death in Brown Street. It is alleged that he was trying to stop a fight. When police and paramedics arrived at the scene, the young man was already dead with a stab wound to the left side of his chest. The suspect was arrested.

A Grade nine learner at Eden Park Secondary School also hanged himself on New Year’s Eve. The reason for his suicide is still unknown.

All cases are being investigated.
