Wanted man nabbed in Eden Park after being morpho-touched

The suspect has been on the run since 2015 and wanted for cases for possession of dagga and possession of stolen property.

A MAN on the police’s wanted list was arrested in Eden Park on February 7.

The arrest happened around 10am on Studebaker Street. The suspect was arrested during the joint operation conducted by the EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit and SAPS Crime Intelligence aimed at drug-dealers in Eden Park.

The 29-year-old old suspect was one of several persons morpho-touched during the stop-and-searches in the area. His fingerprints returned a positive outcome. He has been on the run since 2015 on a Moroka and Brackendowns case for possession of dagga and possession of stolen property respectively.

He was detained at Eden Park Police Station and is expected to appear in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court soon.

Issued by chief superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, EMPD spokesperson.

EVIDENCE: The morpho-touch with a positive result of the wanted suspect.
