Three thieves arrested in New Redruth

They were in possession of stolen goods.

CPS SECURITY reaction officers were flagged down by a member of the public on September 18 after he was robbed of his cellphone and belongings.

CPS reacted swiftly after they received a lookout for the suspects and successfully arrested two suspects in Penzance Street in New Redruth.

“The suspects’ getaway vehicle was involved in an accident thereafter and the third suspect was subsequently arrested by one of our members,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director. Officers found stolen items in their possession.

ANOTHER ONE: The third suspect was arrested minutes after the first arrest was made.

All three suspects were handed over to Alberton SAPS.
