Successful joint operation at the Civic Hall at Alberton City

Making Alberton crime free.

A JOINT operation was conducted by security companies, SAPS, CPF, EMPD and Gauteng traffic and immigration, on October 26.

Officers got together at the Civic Hall at Alberton City. The operation was targeted at the greater Alberton area.

The following successes were made:

• Two arrested for being in possession of drugs.

• Eight arrested for drunk driving.

• Nine arrested for being undocumented.

• Three arrested for operating illegal shebeens.

•171 mandrax tablets found.

• 27 packets of crystal meth found.

•21 pieces of nyope found.

“Well done to everyone involved. It was a day we all fought crime together as one team,” said Tyrone van der Merwe, sales director.

All hands on deck as crime-busting operation gets underway with all gathered at the civic hall on October 26.
