Send Madiba family message of condolence
Books of condolences to allow Ekurhuleni residents to express their feelings on the loss of former President Nelson Mandela have been delivered to the three identified main mourning venues of the City of Ekurhuleni.
EKURHULENI – Mourners now have official Ekurhuleni venues for the laying of wreathes, passing their heartfelt condolences and pay their last respect to the fallen hero of our life time.
The identified venues are Kwa-Thema Civic hall, Kempton Park Civic and Germiston City hall. These facilities are now open and will be operational between 09:00 and 22:00 which until next Sunday.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, (December 10) all residents of Ekurhuleni will converge at different public viewing areas and selected stadiums to witness the live broadcast of President Mandela’s memorial service.
The public viewing areas are:
1. Makhulong Stadium – Tembisa
2. Dries Niemand Park – Kempton Park
3. Sinaba Stadium – Daveyton
4. Bulithando Park –KwaThema
5. Tsakane stadium – Tsakane
6. Kwanele Park – Katlehong
7. Katlehong stadium – katlehong
9. Germiston lake – Germiston
10. Ethafeni –Tembisa
