AFTER numerous theft of batteries from businesses in the Alberton area, CPS Security arrested the suspect responsible for it on March 30.
The suspect has been stealing batteries over the past two to three weeks. This suspect was arrested in Alberton North after an armed reaction officer noticed him walking late at night with a jacket over a backpack. He was stopped and searched the man whereupon the officer found a battery stolen from a nearby property in his possession. Alberton SAPS were contacted and the man was taken into custody.
