Sol and Espiritu Libre – Achieving Quality Engagement Through Sponsored Content
Sponsored content is the ideal way for Sol to make meaningful connections with its target market. Quality engagement is the result of quality content, and Story Studio can deliver just that for a brand defined by the spirit of freedom.

Freedom – What Does it Mean?
To challenge the prevailing norms of a society that no longer speaks to the youth?
To rebel against that which opposes independence, creativity and expression?
Is it to find and explore innovative solutions to unexpected problems?
Is it to open the world to all, and not just the few?
Or is it all of these things?
Sol is for those brave enough to strike out and find new paths, those who know that they can make a difference, and those who aren’t afraid to defy the words, “You can’t”.

With Sol and Espiritu Libre in mind, Story Studio would like to create a series of articles that truly speak to the challenges, hardships and triumphs of free spirits all around our dynamic country.
Share Your Courage – Our Local Heroes
The first concept for the series is to profile individuals who, while operating at the grassroots level of our diverse society, are leading the way in creating something bold and original.
These are the individuals setting examples for those who might dare to take risks of their own, risks that could bring about something truly great, something that adds to the community as a whole.
Whereas the below video was produced for a Finnish audience (with English subtitles), it does capture the general idea of the Local Heroes theme. Of course, the grassroots heroes of our profiles/narratives will be South Africans that are themselves irrepressibly free spirited.
Share Your Culture

To be an African is to be many things at once. Just as being African defies simple answers, so too does the question, “What is your culture?”
Historical and progressive, conservative and evolving, culture is never completely static, and we’d like young South Africans to explore and describe just what they identify as their culture, and how they’d like it to adapt to the 21st century.
Share Your Purpose

What to do with our freedom? How can we use it to define ourselves and our lives? These are among the questions we’d like to pose to a variety of South Africans from diverse social, demographic and economic backgrounds.
Share Your City

The fourth theme is about exploring the spirit of cities and townships around our beautiful country. Like the above concepts, we would interview several individuals to capture a picture of SA that is varied and complex.
It is, in a way, an attempt to portrait the multifaceted character of South African spaces, spaces in which people live their lives – with all their joys, sorrows, disappointments and, most importantly, hopes.
Video Content
Please note that given the age demographics of our target audience and the visually appealing nature of the above concepts, we feel strongly that the Sol-sponsored articles should contain a significant portion of professional video content to complement the custom crafted text and images/photos.
Our in-house video production team is fully enabled to produce high quality video.
Client Input and Guidance is Welcomed
Lastly, we’d like to suggest that other concepts could also grab reader attention. An advertorial that introduces Sol and its heritage could garner a receptive audience, as could an article that demonstrates the making of cocktails that include Sol as an ingredient, for example.
