UPDATE: Forest High murder and attempted murder cases bail application postponed to June 10

He is charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder.

The magistrate at Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court postponed the Forest High murder and attempted murder cases bail application to Monday, June 10, 2019.

He said there are Acts in the Education system that he needs to revisit. “I need to pronounce the judgment on which is fair. It must not be a popular decision. I postponed it to  Monday, June 10, 2019. Not all necessary aspects have been covered,” he said.

Mudi Mavhengani, the attorney of the accused wrote May 3 instead of June 3 on the affidavit that was read in court, also when the prosecutor read the investigation officer’s affidavit it was not commissioned and the court had to take a recess for it to be rectified. These are some of the discrepancies that the magistrate noted.
