Gardner caught for stealing from employers

A gardener was arrested for theft after he broke into his employer's house in Raceview

RACEVIEW – One suspect was apprehended by CPS Security and detained by SAPS Alberton on January 13, after he broke into his boss’s house, stealing two cell phones, all caught on CCTV.

CPS Security responded to a call from one of their clients in Colett Street, Raceview, who had video footage of their gardener breaking into their house.

The suspect used a piece of pipe, stuck it through the security gate and managed to snatch the house keys from the table.

He managed to steal two cell phones which included a Blackberry and an iPhone. He was dumb enough to return to work the next day on January 13, not knowing that EMPD and CPS Security were waiting for him.

Both CPS Security and EMPD apprehended the suspect, who was later detained by SAPS Alberton with enough evidence to be charged with house breaking and theft.
