THE preschool poetry section of the Alberton Eisteddfod was hosted by Creative Academy School of Excellence.
The eisteddfod had over 1 000 entries in the category with learners from various schools reciting both English and Afrikaans poems.
Creative Academy entered 105 learners and they walked away with 66 diplomas and 39 gold certificates.
“We are super proud of our talented, confident and well-spoken children who showed such courage and bravery while reciting their poems in front of the adjudicators and public audience,” said Jenna Axsel, director of the Creative Academy Group.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank the community, especially our direct neighbours, for their patience and understanding of the extra congestion on the roads during the event.”
