EDEN PARK – Palm Taxi had been targeted by thieves for a long time. Some years ago, thieves stole all the taps, basins and copper pipes from the toilets and the offices. The taxi association saw to it that all the stolen and damaged items were replaced and repaired.
It is alleged by the cleaner and caretaker Anthony du Plessis that when he left the rank on Friday afternoon the fences was intact and everything was fine. But when he arrived on Monday morning one part of the steel fence was gone.
“I am sure the fence was stolen off on Saturday night. What I now fear is that the thieves will now come back and steal one section at a time unless the community assist in reporting anyone seen with the green palisade fence,” said Anthony.
The Taxi association could not be reached for comment.
