WATCH: Bogus Fidelity guards make off with cash at Pick n Pay New Redruth

Suspects dressed in Fidelity uniform posed as cash in transit guards and accessed the store.

An undisclosed amount of money and valuables were stolen from the Pick n Pay in New Redruth Village on Sunday, February 2.

Suspects dressed in Fidelity uniform posed as cash in transit guards and accessed the store. They then took off in a white Volkswagen combi.

According to Captian Manare Ramotshela, spokesperson, a case of theft was open at the Alberton SAPS. “There were no injuries and no firearms were used,” said Capt Ramotshela.

“We are still busy with the investigation and will provide more information as soon as possible,” he said.
